Abstract
The paper is devoted to the investigation of a thermomagnetic informat ion storage method using a chromium-dioxide magnetic tape. The origina l magneto-optical readout techniques is described, theoretically estab lished and experimentally evidenced. The results of the analysis of th e comparison of chromium-dioxide carriers with other carriers for the optical information recording are given.
