Abstract
The paper shows the brief report on the use of the satellite telemetry and of the geoinformation systems in the USA for the studies of the e cology of the mammals in the polar regions. It also discusses the appr oaches of the studies of the biological diversity by using the data ob tained from both the satellite and the ground observations.
