Abstract
A 70-year-old man was admitted to the orthopaedic ward for revere scia tic pain and motor deficit. Diagnosis of a unique aneurysm of the ligh t medial iliac artery and compression of the neighbouring elements was based on CT scan, echography and angiography imaging. This observatio n emphasizes the importance of a through physical examination. Unique aneurysm of the medial iliac artery is rarely observed. Effective trea tment and satisfactory results can be obtained with simple ligature.
