Abstract
This paper discusses experience gained in analyzing the spatial and te mporal variability of the total solar radiation on the territory of Me xico derived from satellite observations in 1982-1984. The specific pa tterns of the total radiation field are considered for the dry and the wet season. Two;examples are given of compiling total radiation maps, accuracy control being effected by comparison with surface actinometr ic observations.
