Abstract
Description is given of an algorithm for constructing and interpreting new spectral features, namely, an ensemble of perpendicular generaliz ed indices, the use of which makes it possible to reduce the measure o f uncertainty between the initial spectral features and the state para meters of the natural formations being probed, whose spectral contrast is low. An example of testing the proposed algorithm demonstrates tha t application of said ensemble of indices is preferable to the multidi mensional analog of the known perpendicular vegetation index.
