Abstract
The accuracy of automated geographic referencing of the data from a '' Klimat'' scanning radiometer, mounted on satellites Nos. 4 and 5 of th e ''Meteor-3'' Series is estimated. The mean accuracy of image pixel p ositioning for the ''Meteor-3/5'' satellite was 5.0 km; the root-mean- square deviation was 2.7 km. The accuracy of data referencing for the ''Meteor-3/4'' satellite is approximately half the size of an individu al image pixel. For the ''Meteor-3/5'' satellite a systematic roll dev iation of -29.1' was revealed, which should be eliminated in processin g.
