Abstract
A method is proposed for estimating the degree of atmospheric air poll ution from an anomalous optical contrast (OC) in the photographs obtai ned from earth resources satellites in the near IR region. The PC-base d monitoring technology makes it possible to carry out in an interacti ve mode multifunctional processing of spectrozonal photographs of the territory jointly with maps of calculated neat-earth atmospheric pollu tion fields.
