Abstract
A generalized statement of the problem is proposed for finding quantit ative measures of possible indicators of global/regional change using multispectral satellite images, for retrieving parameters of state tha t are invariant under differing conditions of the solar illumination o f Earth surface features and their viewing geometry from space, and fo r normalizing measurement data of differing ground resolution.
