Abstract
Annual productivity of two energy crops giant reed and sweet sorghum a re determined. Giant reed plantation from rhizomes showed in first yea r very low biomass yields of 0.7 kg/sqm based on dry weight. Wildly gr owing giant reeds showed 5.3 kg/sqm of production. While sweet sorghum variety Koral showed also low yields, the variety Keller gave a yield of 4 kg/sqm.
