Abstract
(S-S)-3-(p-Tolylsulfinyl)-1,4-dihydropyridines with various kinds of s ubstituents on the N-1 position were synthesized from (S-S)-1-lithio-3 -(p-tolylsulfinyl)-1, 4-dihydropyridine, which was generated on reacti on of the 1-benzoyl derivative with methyllithium.
