Abstract
Percutaneous transhepatic treatment of portal vein thrombosis after li ver transplantation in a patient with a preexisting high volume sponta neous splenorenal shunt is presented. Local thrombolysis with urokinas e and balloon angioplasty of the main portal vein stenosis were perfor med followed by shunt embolization to restore hepatopetal portal blood flow.
