B. Chretienmarquet et J. Murthy, USE OF DISTORTIONS IN THE TREATMENT OF SKIN-LESIONS OF THE FACE - THEDISTORTING EXCISION, Plastic and reconstructive surgery, 96(5), 1995, pp. 1075-1080
Reconstruction after excision of a cutaneous lesion of the face is don
e by various complex old and new naps to avoid any distortion. The dis
tortions following primary closure of defects in the face are given un
due importance. We have observed and used the capacity of self-correct
ion of these distortions, which is partially due to the muscular actio
ns. We show our expecience in various distorting reconstructions of th
e face in 36 patients. Because of our partial presence in a children's
hospital, most of our patients were children.
