HYPERON POLARIZATION IN THE CONSTITUENT QUARK-MODEL

We consider a nonperturbative mechanism for hyperon polarization in in clusive production at moderate transverse momenta. The main role belon gs to the orbital angular momentum and the polarization of the strange quark-antiquark pairs in the internal structure of the constituent qu arks. We consider a nucleon as a core consisting of the constituent qu arks embedded into a quark condensate. The nonperturbative hadron stru cture is inspired by the results of the chiral quark models.
