Abstract
Odor threshold studies of highly purified forms of 2-ethyl-3,5-dimethy pyrazine and 2-ethyl-3,6-dimethylpyrazine in water solution showed tha t the -3,5- isomer was a much more potent odorant with a threshold of 0.04 mu g/L compared to that of 8.6 mu g/mu g/L for the -3,6- isomer, thus confirming reported aroma extract dilution analysis air diluted G C effluent threshold measurements on these compounds.
