Abstract
Certain properties of the stochastic collection equation solutions hav e been studied using De Almeida turbulent collision efficiencies. Unde r this assumption, results show an important impact of small-scale tur bulent motions on initial drop spectrum evolution. A parameterization of the auto-conversion rate is obtained for levels of turbulence repre sentative of the first stages of cloud development. Evolving spectra h ave shown some interesting regularities that allow a comparison with t hose observed by Berry for a non-turbulent kernel.
