Abstract
Macrodystrophia lipomatosa, a rare form of localized gigantism of unkn own cause, is characterized by a dramatic overgrowth of all the mesenc hymal elements, particularly the fibroadipose tissue, of one of or mor e digits of the foot or hand. Of the known forms, static and progressi ve (1), we report the case of an African patient, of Bantu origin, who had a progressive deformity of his left hand.
