Abstract
A 14-year-old primigravid adolescent with abnormal triple-marker scree n results at 18 weeks' gestation was found to have hyperechoic fetal b owel. Amniotic fluid culture was positive for cytomegalovirus. Serial ultrasonography demonstrated progressive lateral ventriculomegaly, int rauterine growth retardation, and hydrops fetalis; fetal death occurre d at 32 weeks' gestation.
