Abstract
This article describes an algorithm for quantitative determination of material losses in The corrosion of metal products. The determination is made on the basis of thermographic inspection. Analysis of empirica l data for a steel plate 3 mm thick shelved that an acceptable level o f accuracy in flaw detection is achieved when more than 20% of the ove rall thickness of the wall has corroded.
