A TV microscope for an ion microprobe built around the MTU-1 TV system
is described. The maximum magnification is 45(x), and the distance be
tween the object plane and the lens plane is 100 mm. The TV microscope
allows the operator to observe the position of the sample area. The a
rea coincides with the region scanned with the ion beam within less th
an or equal to 25 mu m on a plate 100 mm in diameter.
