Abstract
The design and performance of the Ghazlan power plant (Kingdom of Saud i Arabia) are described. The study is based on first- and second-law a nalyses. A full exergy analysis is carried out to identify the potenti al for improving the plant efficiency. The exergy analysis shows a det ailed breakdown of exergy losses for the different plant components. A lternative arrangements to improve the efficiency are suggested.
