Sg. Andreev et Ln. Vlasova, EFFECT OF A CYCLICAL HEAT-FLUX ON THE IGNITION ENERGY OF AN EXPLOSIVEIN THE CONDENSED-PHASE, Combustion, explosion, and shock waves, 31(1), 1995, pp. 92-93
An analysis of the results of numerical calculations of the ignition o
f an explosive in the condensed phase showed that the energy density n
ecessary to ignite a material call be decreased substantially by chang
ing the parameters of the cyclicity of the heat flux initiating the ef
fect. The effect is explained qualitatively by the appearance of pre-e
xplosion heating, which is generally ignored when the customary analyt
ical methods of the classical theory of ignition are used.
