Ni. Butkovskaya et al., STUDY OF SMALL BENZENE CLUSTERS BY PULSE MOLECULAR-BEAM MASS-SPECTROMETRY, Russian chemical bulletin, 45(7), 1996, pp. 1635-1641
A simple method for separating contributions of different-sized cluste
rs formed in a pulse supersonic beam to a mass-spectral signal has bee
n suggested. The method is based on the analysis of time pulse profile
s measured for different ions of the beam and makes it possible to cal
culate mass spectra of small clusters. The electron impact moss spectr
um of the benzene dimer has been obtained and analyzed in the framewor
k of the concept of intracluster ion-molecular chemistry.
