Abstract
Ytterbium and samarium metals promote the coupling reaction of diaryl ketones and thioketones with isocyanides, leading to 2,2-diaryl-2-hydr oxyethylideneamines and 2-amino-1,1-diarylethylene, respectively, in f airly good yields.
