From 3 species of genus Parastrephia (Asteraceae), P. teretiuscula (O. K.) Cabr., P. phylicaeformis (Meyen) Cabr. y P. lucida (Meyen) Cabr., collected on the western flank in northern Chile, was isolated 5,4'-di hydroxy-7,3'-dimethoxyflavanone; 5,3',4'-trihydroxy-7-methoxyflavanone ; 5,7,4'-trihydroxy-3,8,3'-trimethoxyflavone; 5,4'-dihyroxy-7-methoxyf lavone; 5,4'-dihydroxy-7,8-dimethoxyflavone; scopoletin and p-cumaroyl oxytremetone. The structures of these compounds were established by me ans of spectroscopic evidence.
