DIAGNOSTIC MEASURES ASSOCIATED WITH A Q-F EVER INFECTION IN A BERLIN SHEEP FLOCK

This report gives an account of a Q-fever infection in flocks of sheep , taking into consideration tile epidemiological aspects. In the inner organs, and particularly in the central nervous system of affected an imals, rickettsial as well as chlamydial agents were directly demonstr ated by immunofluorescence and specific staining methods, as well as b y isolation via cell culture. Serological examination showed antibodie s against both agents in sheep from flocks where the outbreak occurred .
