Abstract
The basicity constant of dodecyltrimethylammonium hydroxide was measur ed, giving pK(b) = 2.8901 +/- 0.0003 at 25 degrees C. The degree of hy drolysis of the dodecyltrimethylammonium bromide salt was also studied adn interpreted.
