Abstract
In recent years laser treatment has found wide application in industry . Ample literature shows that laser treatment produces a wide spectrum of structure states on irradiated surfaces. An important problem aris ing in laser treatment is the formation of cracks and loss of strength in surface layers. The insufficiency of data on these processes hampe rs the introduction of laser surface treatment. The presence of cracks deteriorates the mechanical properties of alloys. Therefore, investig ation of the processes of crack formation in laser treatment and corre ction of its regimes is of practical interest.
