Y. Yilmaz, LIME-SODA-OXYGEN (LSO) PULPING OF WHEAT-STRAW .2. EFFECTS OF COOKING PARAMETERS ON PAPER PROPERTIES, Paperi ja puu, 77(8), 1995, pp. 498-501
In this study, the effects on the papermaking properties of NaOH, Ca(O
H)(2) and oxygen charges and cooking time in the time-soda-oxygen (LSO
) pulping process are investigated. The results from an experimental i
nvestigation show that the presence of oxygen in the lime-soda-oxygen
(LSO) process affects paper properties. Increasing the oxygen pressure
from 0 to 10 kg/cm(2) improves the optical properties but lowers the
breaking length and burst index of papers.
