Va. Vukolov et al., SPECTRA OF NEUTRONS FROM THE REACTIONS LI-6(D,N-ALPHA)HE-3 AND BE-9(D,N)B-10 AT DEUTERON ENERGIES UP TO 2.0 MEV, Physics of atomic nuclei, 58(9), 1995, pp. 1453-1459
Spectra of neutrons from the reactions Li-6(d, n alpha)He-3 and Be-9(d
, n)B-10 are measured by the time-of-flight method. Continuous spectra
from the first reaction are obtained at deuteron energies E(d) = 1.1
and 2.0 MeV for five angles in the range 10 degrees - 130 degrees; the
energy threshold of neutron detection is found to be 0.2 MeV. Line sp
ectra in the second reaction are measured at E(d) = 0.5, 1.0, 1.5 and
2.0 MeV for nine angles in the range 0 degrees - 165 degrees for the g
round state and the first six excited states of B-10. Differential and
total effective cross sections for neutron production are determined
for the two reactions. Special features of the spectra and possible me
chanisms of the processes under consideration are discussed.
