Particles with strange quark content produced in the system 1.93 A . G
eV Ni-58 on Ni-58 have been investigated at GSI Darmstadt with the FOP
I detector system. The correlation of these produced particles was ana
lyzed with respect to the reaction plane. Lambda baryons exhibit a ver
y pronounced sideward flow pattern which is qualitatively similar to t
he proton flow. However, the kaon (K+,K-s(0)) flow patterns are signif
icantly different from that of the protons, and their form may be usef
ul to restrict theoretical models on the form of the kaon potential in
the nuclear medium.
