Abstract
The energy spectra of C-12 and O-16 fragments emitted in 50 and 60 MeV alpha-induced reactions on Al-27 have been measured using Solid State Nuclear Track Detectors. These data are in good agreement with the pr edictions of a simple moving source model, indicating statistical emis sion of the fragments from a nearly equilibrated compound nucleus.
