Abstract
The structure of [Tc(CO)(3)I](4) has been studied by single-crystal X- ray diffraction. Crystal data: monoclinic, a = 18.125(12), b = 9.741(6 ), c = 16.577(9) Angstrom, beta = 118.50(4)degrees, V = 2572(3) Angstr om(3), space group C2/c, Z = 4, d(calc) = 3.191 g cm(-3), mu(MoKa) = 6 7 cm(-1). The crystal structure consists of isolated tetrameric molecu les [Tc(CO)(3)I](4) having a cubane-like structure. The Tc(CO)(3) moie ties are linked via bridging iodide ligands.
