REMINISCENCES OF PROFESSOR SIMON,WILHELM AND HIS RESEARCH WORK AT THEETH ZURICH

The Symposium on Electrochemical Sensors was dedicated to the memory o f the late Professor Wilhelm Simon. We all remember him as a remarkabl e and renowned scientist, and as an enthusiastic and inspiring lecture r. In particular, he was a pioneer in research on ion-selective electr odes. With this article, the authors would like to pay due reverence t o him and to his outstanding contributions to analytical chemistry.
