Abstract
A method for recovery of glutamic acid from fermentation broth using m icrofiltration, diafiltration, and reverse osmosis has been proposed. Coupled with the technique of semi-continuous isoelectric crystallisat ion, the method gave a product of 3 . 3% higher purity with 11 . 1% hi gher yield compared with the conventional method.
