Abstract
Liquid-liquid equilibrium (LLE) data at 25 degrees C are reported for eight ternary systems consisting of methanol, alkane (heptane, octane, nonane or decane), and ether (diethyl ether or dibutyl ether). The UN IFAC group contribution method was used to predict or correlate the te rnary LLE data obtained. The predicted results shows the discrepancy f rom the experiments. Therefore, the UNIFAC group interaction parameter s were adjusted to give better correlation performance.
