P. Fletcher et T. Stephenson, EFFECTS OF PROCESS VARIABLES ON AN ELECTRICALLY-ASSISTED FIBROUS DEPTH FILTER, Process safety and environmental protection, 73(B3), 1995, pp. 235-238
Experimental work has been undertaken on a novel electrically-assisted
fibrous filter for the removal of particulates from low conductivity
aqueous suspensions. An ion exchange fibre was used to study the remov
al of silica and kaolin. Changes in filter bed depth, fibre volume, fl
ow rate and buffer concentration all affected particulate removal wher
eas altering particle concentration had no effect.
