Abstract
Weed control with thiobencarb, molinate, or fertilizer granules coated with quinclorac or bensulfuron was evaluated in 1992 and 1993. With t hiobencarb or fertilizer granules, less than 55% control of 4-leaf jun glerice was obtained, regardless of additional herbicide coating. Coat ing thiobencarb or fertilizer granules with quinclorac at 550 g ai/ha increased junglerice control, but was not satisfactory. Molinate granu les at 4.4 kg ai/ha controlled junglerice at least 81% and improved ri ce yields over fertilizer or thiobencarb granules. Fertilizer coated w ith bensulfuron at 111 g ai/ha controlled ducksalad 86 to 96%.
