Nv. Klyuchnikova et al., DETERMINATION OF TRACES OF HETERO-CHARGED IONS IN NONIONOGENIC SURFACE-ACTIVE SUBSTANCES BY ION CHROMATOGRAPHY, Industrial laboratory, 61(1), 1995, pp. 13-15
An ion-chromatographic method for the separation and determination of
K, Na, Mg, and Al ions, the sum of heavy-metal ions (Fe, Cu, Pb, Cr, S
n), and chloride, sulfate, and orthophosphate ions present in amounts
of 10(-6) - 10(-5)% in 1% solutions of nonionogenic surface-active sub
stances (NSAS) is proposed. We use 10(-3) M HCl and 3 x 10(-3) M HNO3
solutions and a 2 x 10(-3) M solution as eluents to determine K+, Na+,
Mg2+, Al3+ cations and ions of heavy and transition metals, respectiv
ely. The method proposed is shown to enable reliable evaluation of the
purity of NSAS.
