Abstract
A method for detecting metal objects has been developed. The method ma kes use of a radio-pulsed magnetic field and features high selectivity and low current consumption. The transient eddy-current processes ind uced by radio pulses in a metal object are analyzed to provide informa tion about the object. A description of a metal detector is given.
