Abstract
A new expression has been developed for calculating the effective perm ittivity of rectangular microstrip antenna elements with various thick nesses of substrates. This technique is original, simple, and easily a daptable to a wide variety of dielectric materials, scalable over wide frequency ranges, and included in a CAD system. The results obtained from this technique confirm those calculated form formulas reported el sewhere. (C) 1995 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
