Abstract
Delayed healing from irradiated bone is a significant problem for the head and neck surgeon. Over the past decade, newer techniques and trea tments have been developed that counteract, at least in part, the nega tive effects of radiotherapy on bone. This article discusses the effec t of radiation on bone and describes its contemporary clinical managem ent.
