Abstract
The electrosynthesized compound, trans-mer-[OsCl2(C2H3N)(C8H11P)(3)], contains a nearly linear MeC=N-Os linkage [Os(1)-N(1)-C(1) 179(1)degre es] and the phenyl substituents on neighbouring phosphines are specifi cally oriented about the nitrile ligand.
