The title compound, C13H10N4O3S, is an original drug developed as a st
ructural analogue of the antiinflammatory agent piroxicam. It is also
structurally related to diazoxide, an antihypertensive compound. The c
rystal structure determination shows that the 4H (rather than 2H) taut
omeric form is preferentially adopted by this pyridothiadiazine deriva
tive in the solid state.
