Vl. Semerikov et Av. Matveev, INVESTIGATION OF GENETIC-VARIATION OF ISO ZYME LOCI IN SIBERIAN LARCHLARIX SIBIRICA LDB, Genetika, 31(8), 1995, pp. 1107-1113
Investigation of allozyme variation in nine populations of Siberian la
rch (Larix sibirica Ldb.) revealed levels of allozyme variation typica
l for coniferous species. Expected hererozygosity H-exp was 12 - 16%,
the proportion of polymorphic loci was 38 - 55% and the average number
of alleles was 1.4 - 2.0. The larch populations were shown to be sign
ificantly subdivided (F-st = 8.2%). This is mainly due to differences
between the western and eastern races, reaching 0.019 - 0.029 in Nei's
genetic distances (unbiased estimates). The zone of transition betwee
n the races reached 100 km.
