Abstract
We report six cases where significant postoperative pain persisted in individuals following arthroscopic surgery augmented with the use of l asers. Subsequent magnetic resonance images showed lesions with signal changes compatible with the diagnosis of osteonecrosis in areas direc tly addressed with laser energy.
