N. Linder et al., HYPERTROPHY OF THE TONGUE ASSOCIATED WITH INHALED CORTICOSTEROID-THERAPY IN PREMATURE-INFANTS, The Journal of pediatrics, 127(4), 1995, pp. 651-653
We describe three infants in whom hypertrophy of the tongue developed
while they were receiving beclomethasone inhalation therapy. The condi
tion resolved after cessation of treatment, an outcome suggesting that
tongue hypertrophy is a possible side effect of this therapy.
