Abstract
In this article, a technique based on electroplating is described for mounting small metal particles and rapidly solidified metal ribbons fo r Auger electron microanalysis. The surface composition of a scratched Al-17.3 at.%Cu eutectic ribbon was measured by Auger electron spectro scopy and compared with its bulk composition.
