Abstract
This article discusses the characteristics of craniocerebral gunshot w ounds and their victims in the rural setting. The population is compar ed to and contrasted with urban analogues. The potential prognostic va lue of clinical and laboratory findings is considered. The results of such analyses may lead to a varied approach to the rural craniocerebra l gunshot victim.
