TRANSFORM DOMAIN IIR FILTERING

This correspondence provides a generalization on the concept of the tr ansform domain filtering (TDF). TDF is a block-based filtering, or a v ector-filtering, applied to transform domain data to get the effect of a desired time domain filtering. The result is transform domain IIR f iltering (IIR-TDF) and it takes in the existing TDF, or FIR-TDF, as it s special case. The resulting structures are two-fold-Direct I form an d Direct II form-and are both block-filtering structures.
