Observations of the resolved stars in the Irregular galaxy NGC 2366, o
btained over the ten year period from March 1984 to March 1994, are pr
esented. Thirty separate epochs were used to search for variable stars
, and a total of 13 were found, of which 6 have characteristic Cepheid
light curves and colors, After correction for galactic extinction the
se Cepheids yield a distance modulus, m-M=27.68 +/- 0.20. This corresp
onds to a distance of 3.44 Mpc which places NGC 2366 in the M81 Group,
as has always been assumed. (C) 1995 American Astronomical Society.
